The Karazhan Key to Success

Is an all star group and no one that wants to screw around. After what ended up being six unsuccessful Black Morass runs, with a laundry list of excuses/reasons...

1. Someone made the mistake of taking me at level 68
2. Shadow Priest on bosses, not enough DPS, over run by adds
3. AFK hunter between phase 2 and 3
4. 9 debuffs on the tank in phase 2, 300 crit heal ftl
5. Weak dps on bosses, I was on adds for what seemed like forever
6. Paladin wanted to do adds even though they were Holy spec

I finally made it through with some of the top players in my guild who got together last night to lend me a hand and get me keyed for Karazhan. It went super smooth as expected and we were done in just under 40 minutes. I'd like to say its the way its supposed to be, but BC five mans have a good difficultly that is great for weeding out the unworthy.

In every run that I went on you could point to a reason for why the group failed. Sometimes it was a lack on concentration and other times people just weren't ready gear or skill wise for the encounter. In any case I am now keyed and I got some rep and some shoulders in the process.

This week will hopefully see me in Kara for the first time. I have been reading up on the bosses and trying to reduce as much wife aggro as possible.

Kick is a healthy level 17 now and I'm having a hard time keeping him at the same level as my brother and all my other friends who rolled on Nazjatar. Oh well, I guess they will be 70 sooner than I thought.

To Karazhan we go,

Wrex

I've been too long, I'm glad to be back

As I stated in my last post almost 3 months ago I was gearing up for Day of Defeat Source CAL Season 5 and would be leaving WoW. Well the seasons over and here I am!

One of the biggest factors in me leaving WoW last time, aside from DoD:S, was a lack of friends in my previous guild. Finding 5 mans was a pain and I spent most of my time in vent channels by myself. Nothing against my old guild, but when I joined there were a lot more people I knew.

So jump forward 3 months, a lot of the people I love playing with have transfered from Mal'Ganis to Nazjatar and formed a new guild (Far Beyond Driven). Turns out I like hanging out with my friends, so I transfered Jafer to Nazjatar and got a name change in the process. Jafer is now Wrex.

I also convinced my brother to join me on the new server as well, so he rolled a mage named Tazeer. Not wanting him to level alone I rolled another Pally alt with the same name as my last one (Kick).

Thats all for now, I have spent my last week getting used to the game again, downloading new UI mods and trying to get my freaking Kara attunement quest done. Three failed BM attempts so far and counting, but more on that later.

I'm glad to be back,

Wrex
