I hit 70 on Saturday night questing in Netherstorm, but before I get into life as a 70 lets look at some of the numbers/facts...
- Total time from 60 to 70: 2 weeks, 4 days
- Total played time from 60 to 70: coming soon
- Started TBC with 160 gold and at 70 I had 1,560 gold.
- Replaced 9 out of 17 pieces of my original gear.
- 5 epics left from my level 60 total of 14.
- Replaced 6 out of 7 pieces of my "tier" gear.
- I leveled to 69 without ever questing past Nagrand.
- I leveled to 70 without doing a quest in Blades Edge or Shadowmoon.
- Went to 10 different 5-man instances and ran them so often that I could not keep count.
- Went to 3 level 70 5-man instances where my lack of 70 caused the group to fail.
I have been looking forward to the trip for so long, that I haven't really planned out the destination. The first thing I did after hitting 70 was make my way to Shadowmoon to buy my flying mount. Then I went back to all the zones that I leveled in and discovered all of the flying mount only zones. The biggest surprise so far was finding Kil'jaeden's Throne right behind Thrallmar.
Last night I started a quest chain that is supposed to raise my netherwing rep to neutral in the hopes that eventually I can become exalted and haul ass around Outland on a dragon.
So now what? Most likely lots of pvp, from ganking to battlegrounds. The arena will be opening shortly so I will hopefully be joining a 2,3 and 5 man team. Dungeon 3 would be nice, but I think getting honor/gladiator gear will make my time pvping more enjoyable.
Of course there is also the goal of an epic flying mount, which means saving up 5,000 gold. Right now that does not seem appealing to me at all, but at the speeds they fly I think it will be a must down the road.
All leveled up,
Jafer
