Breaking up is hard to do

Its been 6 days since I loaded up the world of Azeroth and I am a happier man for it. I have rediscovered Day of Defeat Source after nearly a month hiatus of WoW play. CAL season 5 will be starting up soon and with practice for DoD and the release of a strong list of console games, WoW just won't make the cut.

I have achieved everything I had originally intended for the expansion (level 70). Any other illusions of grandeur I may have posted about previously came strictly from a pre 70 induced state. Meaning that I was really enjoying the grind to 70 and I was hoping to continue that fun beyond the level cap. Not 3 days after I hit 70 I was already getting bored with the post game content.

At this point pvp would be the only thing to keep me around, but I might as well play a FPS if I want skilled competitive play. FPS are largely based on skill while MMO pvp play is mostly just time put in equals skill (item based skill). I am sure there could be full debate on this, but this not the time or the place.

I will be canceling my account today and will most likely stop blogging here as well. I don't think there is enough content in day to day DoD play to warrant regular lengthy post. If I make a come back to WoW then expect a post here or hell if something exciting enough in DoD happens expect it too.

Peace For Now,

Jafer
