Thundercats in 2011

No, this is not Michael Bay brutally dry raping more of your childhood memories in live action horror. Thundercats is coming in 2011 though, by way of Cartoon Network and animated by the same shop that worked on the Animatrix and Gotham Knights. I'm crossing my fingers that they can pull off the same feat that Warren Ellis did with G.I. Joe Resolute. Maybe that is asking too much, but I won't be watching it otherwise.

Nice. I hope it's more than dark+brooding, post-Vietnam nihilism masquerading as "sophisticated adult" storytelling. I had this lunch box in pre-school: http://www.nazcatoys.com/images/cats.jpg and I loved the original movie.

I also had this lunch box: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/12/69025069_a4995ab8a7.jpg
